Who are Boojum?

Boojum launched in 2007 as one of the most disruptive concepts to hit the High Street in years and has grown to be the #1 Mexican fast-casual brand on the Island of Ireland, with big plans for the future.

It now operates 19 locations, having recently launched in GB with it’s first store in Leeds, and 16 stores across all 5 major Irish cities.

Target locations?

We're looking for prime pitch with good visibility and profile in restaurant and retail hubs.

Additional requirements include:

- Strong source of lunch and evening trade

- Transport hub

- Close to Universities and student accommodation

- Close to office workers

- Close to residential catchment for delivery

How many new locations are you targeting?

Personally I am targeting the following priority locations:

- Glasgow

- Edinburgh

- Newcastle

- Manchester

- Sheffield

Size requirements?

Boojum require between 1,500 – 2,500 sqft gross (2,200sqft is the ideal). Preferably these will be ground floor units, albeit, split levels will be considered.

Additional requirements?

- Existing restaurant premises or retail units suitable for change of use

- Existing extract in place or the ability to install extract equipment

- Parking nearby (not essential)

Planning consent?

We require Class E planning

Freehold or Leasehold?

We will consider leasehold properties only

Recent openings or new locations in the pipeline?

Boojum have recently opened in Leeds and Nottingham with a new site opening in Birmingham and Liverpool very soon.

What are the main challenges you face when acquiring new property?

The speed of legal process and identifying willing parties on both sides of the transaction

Boojum, obviously!

What is your favourite building?

The Pantheon. Great memories of Rome.
